So we're roughly halfways there, our greatest problem is the lack of interest of modders to team up with us, and that of our teammembers leaving our team for no apparent reason. It slows progress down and there's not much that we can do about it.
The Dwarves are however a bit of a special case since we'll be using the models from another russian mod, changing them about a bit and using some of their animations. Thangorodrim is also a bit of special case since we need animations for beasts such as trolls, dragons and so on. We've asked other teams such as Third Age Total War to let us use their animations but we've been denied.
Right now our short term goals are to re-work two old Avari models that need some serious re-texturing to bring them in line with the rest of the faction, after that we'll get started on the Union of Maedhros (which both VIR and I really look forward to since antkamidiv and I have managed to design some really cool concepts!).
At the moment while I am waiting for VIR to unwrap the old textures and finish up the last heavy cavalry unit, in the mean time I'm making banners that units/officers will be carrying.
I have to say this is my new favorite unit. Wonderful work both of you.

Yeah I can imagine easily that it's frustating. Anyway what is already done is just awesome, and let's hope in the near future some modders will join you. Too bad I can't do anything to help, though.
Nevertheless, keep up this great work !

Well mate, if this is true what you said about porting to Rusichi 2 engine, then I believe, no, I know and am certain that this mod is going to be huge success.
Rusichi 2 is probably, no, certainly the greatest historic mod I ever played with a lot of beautiful models and skins. And gameplay, wow, just wow, very enjoyable.
Although Rusichi 2 is probably most underestimated mod of all time cause people never bothered to play it because its in Russian. Only if they tried a bit, its Total War game for crying out loud. Every control is same.

I correct. We need one that can work with animation MTW2. That saves us a lot of time.
And we absolutely need a scripter, because I can not do that.
I can very well create map, for me it's quite easy. But my problem-I know the world of Tolkien is even nicnt. I just do not know - what and where should I do.really appriciate it We're also looking for mappers to improve our current map, if you're (speaking to everyone now) interested, please do let us know.

Well why not open a recruitment thread in the modders classified adds subforum as well as contacting some via pm like koultouras or cedric or others clearly liking fantasy when it comes to 2d and 3d art.
Concerning coders, there should a lot be out there to help.
@scripters: asking withwnar and tnz is always worth a shot!
Besides that, you could always shot me a pm regarding scripting, but I won't promise anything, since my interest is very particular.
I've already said that, but if you lack modders, why don't you team up with the "War of the Silmarils" team ? They do a great job, but also lack teammates. Such ressources wasted because of the division though you work on the same lore.![]()
