    Default Where should I buy?

Had my old PC for several years now and been saving up for a new PC. Should probably just build one but with full time job, wife, and kids I just do not have the time, energy, or patience anymore.

Been looking at a couple of sites aiming for reliability and good ratings on resellerratings.com and pugetsystems.com will probably get my money.

Am I missing a better company? I know many probably build their own but I figure there are also gamers out there like me.

Trying to get the best, and most reliable, system I can for two to three thousand dollars and pugetsystems.com seems to beat the others I have found so far.

Heres a site you should go for reviews of companies, they actually buy the system from company, without the company knowing, and do stress test, check the support, and all kinds of other stuff.

I would recommend a Dell XPS, since they are pretty reliable.

I have been wondering about Dell since we get a discount through work.

Still I have heard some pretty serious horror stories about there customer service when there is a problem.

Now also hearing about the Conroe chip too... ugh.

Well I still have months to go before purchase. This way I'll get the best prices for something that will "hopefully" run MTW2 on higher, though probably not highest, settings.

Definately wear out the review sites while you have the opportunity, during the interum before you buy. One builder whom I think has great prices is www.Cyberpowerpc.com and they have already configured systems or you can tell 'em what you want and they'll build it for you. They use only the best components and they definately have major buying power as it appears that they pass some of the saving on to their customers.
funkb, one of the users on this forum, just purchased an extreme rig from Monarch computers and it sounded like they allow their customers to help configure the systems they build for them as well. They also have a pretty good rep....

Cyberpower definately seems to have the best prices around. A couple of friends bought Cyberpower and haven't had any big problems. Unfortunately I keep finding "lots" of horror stories about them.

Going to wait until right after release to buy so the wife can use the old one and I'll have one "just" for my games.

Some of our longest "battles" have been over "pc" time.

Sir Robin,, I'm married too and I handed over my Dell 8400 to my wife as well(covertly kept SPQR on it,just incase)! Funny thing, she couldn't care less about games and she now has a buisness computer with a Sapphire Radeon X850XT OCed to 540/1160 in it! LOL! That VC is out to pasture!
Remember, when it comes to computers and companies, the complainers always seem to make their voices heard above the din....

Dells are very good computers, and above average reliability, customer support. etc.

Try EBAY, get a refurb unit from an established dealer. Its just like buying it from Dell with the warranty. Hugh savings.
