    Default How does AoR work?

    Current campaign as Rome.

Just took over a Greek province and built up to Phase III Auxilia....but still cannot recruit Greek units. Should I be able to? What am I missing?

When I look at the units tab, all I have are ships and a diplomat.

not every city has a unique unit, some will not have anything available untill you build a provincial barracks. conquer another one and the likely hood is that you will have a unit you can recruit there.
"We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender" -- Winston Churchill

Rome doesn't have access to many Greek units, only Peltastai and Prodromoi (the latter only in Macedonian territories). In other places, such as Gaul or Iberia, you'll gain access to a far more diversified unit list for those regions. For some units, like missile troops and cavalry, you'll need stables as well as the auxiliary buildings.
