    Default RTW Version for M2TW

Just wondering if there is a mod that is basically rome total war on M2TW? I saw on another post someone actually put all the rome total war units in to M2TW so I went searching... Haven't found anything though.

Sorry mate am not releasing a half finished mod, just for members to pull it apart. The Toon works only to100% total completion of any mod before he releases anything!

I don't think there's anything (yet) that applies exactly to what you want, but if you want some hoplite/legionaire/barbarian action on medieval 2 engine, I recomend Paeninsula Italica 2. It's a very nice beta on the roman timeline and the creator has incorporated original rome music! Ha, that's cool! There are plenty other mods like that "under constraction". This is the only one that has released a beta for quite some time and quite playable too. I've played it like a harp from hell!

There's also Europa Barbarorum II, but it's still a WIP as well.

Just a WIP? What about:http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=454. Those huge forums imply that EBII is a HOSTED MODIFICATION supported by an established team that know exactly what they are doing! A WIP? Geez!

Don't get me wrong, some WIPs have really nice teams and mods, but hosted modifications are something like the big league of TWC forums, if you know what I mean.

WIP simply means work in progress; regardless of how much prestige or influence a large mod and its team have, if it's still in development, it's still a WIP, no matter if that mod is here or in the Hosted Modifications section.

I know what WIP means, but you can't compare that with a large mod. In a WIP you can't start discussing a part of the mod loosely because you don't have the room, all being in the same forum. You can't separate previews and updates so that people can see the actual progress, in a WIP the best you can do is edit your first post and give updates there. In a WIP you can't have people starting threads and discussing things that refer to factions, units, battles and so on and that damages a WIPs reputation, because most of the visitors want to see specific parts of the mod and don't like to go through pages of talking until they find what they wish. So they go in the hosted modification sections, and don't really know whats going on in the WIP section. Afterall, WIP does stand for "Wips, Ideas and Proposals". People want to see work in progress, not proposals. That's the difference between a WIP and a large mod, the publicity and support from the community that they have.
