    Default Sassanid tanks

I'm playing with Hephthalites and obviously i invest a lot against Sassanids .
I noticed that every Sassanid army has top notch infantry ,cavalry and elephants and they all are in large quantities . They are almost impossible to break or hurt with arrows .

    I find that annoying

Well, Sassanids defeated Hephthalites IRL most of the time, so...

But yeah, they could be a bit OP - although I have defeated them with factions like Armenia.

I mean I'm fine with them having all those "tanks" but when the whole army is comprised of them that's a problem you know

On the contrary the Hephalites were Sassanid Persia's greatest threat of the fifth century and forced them to devot much of their time and resources to their eastern border. Bahram V and Yazdgard II both had to deal with many incursions eventually suceeded in defending the empire- but Yazdgard suffered many defeats between 443 and 450.
Peroz was only able to keep his thrown with Hephalite help, when he attempted to break free of his reliance he was defeated and forced into a humiliating peace (469)- giving his son as hostage- until he paid a massive ransom. Again in 480 Peroz renewed attacks against Hephalites- but suffered a massive defeat and met his death. The Hephalites then entered eastern Iran and demanded massive annual tribute and from that moment on interfered in Sassanian internal politics
    Bibliography:
    Procopius De Bello Persico 1.3.8 - 1.4.35
    Frye 1983a: 143-52
    Luther 1997: 10-24

I said MOST of the time. Remember how Bahram Gur and later Kavadh owned them. Bahram Gur being the closest to our time period.

@Master mind Yeah, I know, they'll most likely fix it.
