    Default Unspecified error?

I've been playing the game for about 2 months, and never had a problem with Gondor (The main faction i played). Then I found out the Free Peoples of Eriador can reform Arnor, so I gave it a shot. Unfortunately on turn 83 i got an unspecified error that stopped me from playing the game, no matter how many times i reloaded. I then reinstalled the game and the Baron submod thing i previously had, only to get another error, this time on turn 103. I'm not sure how to fix this, I have very little computer savvy, any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Got the same error around turn 75 in my Rohan campaign. Even went back a few turns and still crashed at the same point. I was having a near perfect campaign, also,

Same problem here, has happened twice during other factions turns. 3.1 and Baron's submods.

1st time the Orcs of Gungabad were on their last settlement (pitkaranta), I was waiting for one of my (high elf) generals to arrive and the dwarves were waiting across the bridge to the south to invade but I was blocking them. It crashed just before the faction shield at the top changed to Gungabad. So realising that it may have something to do with that, I moved my troops and let the dwarves move in and attack the villiage (with my army as reinforcements) It was just a villiage so it happened on the same turn. As the Orcs had then been wiped out the crash didn't occur again.

2nd time, it turn 162, I've just got to the point where I can actually afford a decent army, have the one ring, 2 extra trade routes set up abroad and have captured Isenguard (only citadel that I've found to give the highest armour upgrades). Now it crashes just before Gondor take their turn. Really frustrating as you can imagine the amount of time spent playing to this point.

Have tried reducing Graphics and sound to a minimum just in case but same thing happens. I can upload a save file if it helps?

That is your problem, post all bugs caused by submods in their respective forums.

I could be an issue with either, but I will.

Just trawled through the baron's thread and it seems people aren't experiencing crashes with the new version 5 still I have to start again......

@ Deders. I loaded up a game from several turns ago and was able to continue w/ my Rohan campaign with no crash.

I didn't do this at first but after watching a youtube video of someone playing I now save every turn, sometimes at the start and at the end of each turn if something serious is going down. I'll just title it something simple like R1, R2, R3, etc. (for Rohan), G1, G2 (for Gondor). Will definitely keep doing this as I learn all the quirks to this game/mod.

I made the same thing in my campaign with Silvan Elfs (I save every turn with 10 different save) and the first time (at turn 65 I had the first crash) I was able to load a precedent save (3 turns before the crash) so the game continue.
But at turns 77 the same crash again stopped me! I loaded every precedent 10 savegame but the crash always come back at turn 77....

@ Ciottio90. I finally made it to Turn 110 as Rohan, held the ring with Gandalf for 5 turns at Barad-Dur. Now it is crashing right at end turn when it goes to Gondor when I should be winning the game. I guess I will reinstall. Just so mad I finally beat these mordor asses and game crashes.

It turns out that some people are still experiencing crashes. It is believed to be to do with the hordes script, and still occurs even though I have hordes disabled. Baron has been called away on another project so just waiting to hear when it will be fixed. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the vanilla game.

Yeah I never had crashes w/ the vanilla game I don't think. I feel like I did the Baron install correctly. I reinstalled just in case, I will let you know if I experience any more.
