    Default Question about Marian Reforms

I just got the Marian reforms today, however I noticed not all my regions that have subjugation markers can build the Roman faction MICs to train the Marian legionnaires.

I also noticed that settlements that don't have the "Marian Reforms" building marker cannot build the faction barracks so maybe that explains why I can build my barrack's.

My question: How and why arn't all my romanized provinces capable of building faction MIC's or missing the Reform marker?

Even some of my homeland settlements can't build MICs! Such as Taras and Rhegium! Added note: Taras couldn't even build the faction MICs during the polybian era.

Have you got the right government to build the required level of the factional MIC? Check to Romani building tree (it's attached; you can find all building trees here). Also use the Recruitment Viewer (there should be a link in the EB start menu folder) to check where you can recruit which units.
For more detailed info, you'll need to wait till a team member or Romani-pro comes along.

    Regards!

Do you always activate your script. Sounds like a script malfuction to me.

Yes I have the script activated, honestly sometimes I end turn once after loading a game without the script but after it notify s me I click show me how to activate it. I dont understand how it can be a script malfunction when I got the Marian reforms anyways?

I have Type 2 governments and even type 1 installed in (Segesta, Taras, and Rhegion) and I still can't construct a "Campvs" or tier 1 barracks.

    Damn nice empire xD

Yea I dont have any of those markers i.e polybian/Marian Reforms on Taras and other settlements.

I think your right about it being a script era.

By the way I'm also acquiring new provinces/settlements and a turn after acquisition I instanly get a Campvs and Marian Reform Marker.

The problems you have seem somewhat odd, though I can't really tell as it's a good while ago since I played a Romain campaign. I assume you have EB1.2 with the 3 fixes installed properly, right? Perhaps you could have a look in the EB Bug Reports & Technical Help section and/or also create a new thread there.

Apropos loading a campaign and activating the script: If you play a campaign with faction A and in the same EB session load a game from a faction B campaign, you may get some script related bugs; from the FAQ:
Q: I loaded a game in EB and all of my Government buildings have been destroyed (all red). What happened?
A: If you start a campaign with faction 'A', activate the script and then quit to the main menu and reload a previous save game of a faction other than faction 'A', your government buildings will be damaged as soon as you activate the script again. This is hardcoded into RTW, and there's nothing we can do to fix it. You can avoid the "bug" by shutting down RTW completely and restarting if you want to play a different save game with a different faction (reloading save games from your current campaign is not a problem).
EDIT: If found this in the FAQ regarding Romani barracks:
Q: As the Romans, why can't I build factional MICs in X area.
A: The Romans can only build factional MICs in areas that contain Roman units. The area expands based on the reform level (see below). During the Camilian Era, you can build factional MICs in your starting cities plus Segesta. During the Polybian Era, you can build factional MICs in "Homeland" regions (Italy). During the Marian & Avgvstan Eras, you can build factional MICs everywhere, but have limited recruitment, based on the area.

    @Casual Tactician

Well maybe, but I started my romani campaign a long time ago from today and I recently resumed my campaign recently. Is the issue between loading campaigns of different factions for example Starting a Rome campaign and then loading a makedon campaign? Or can it conflict with saved games of the same faction (I dont think so X.X)

I have actually moved the saved file i.e "Rome","Quicksave" from the save folder and moved it to a net drive and/or emailed it to my account so I could load it onto a different machine. I don't know how that would effect the game but I'm just giving you that piece of information so you guys can get the big picture.

I think I know how the roman recruitment system works. Long story short pre marian reform romans can only recruit their faction mics in italy/homeland regions. post marian reform romans can build faction MICs in subjugation regions, levels vary depending on the government type.

Don't load a different faction and activate the script during the same session of EB. EB has to be restarted before switching factions. Loading another campaign with the same faction is no problem.
It is possible that forgetting-to-activate-the-script causes errors like yours. Remember to activate it in the future.
There could be a workaround for problems like these:
Use the Force Diplomacy Minimod and gift those cities to a neutral faction, advance one turn and besiege and conquer them. Since the city is now acquired with a (hopefully) activated script the markers should spawn.

I think you're right must have been a mistake on my part on toggling the script.
