    Default Game ignored unit training requirement?

    For some reason, the recruitment window shows Arquebusiers as an available unit, despite the fact that the event which unlocks them hasn't happened yet.
    Why does the game ignore the requirement?

    Oh, and yes, I'm modding MagyarMod again.

    Does it have anything to do with the numbers of initial units availbe? Does it have to be at least 1 for the game to notice the requirement? Or what?

    Are you sure the unit isn't recruitable through some other building with other conditions?

    how do you trigger the arquebus_invented event? is it via script or via decr_events ?

    Nope.
    In my modification of the original mod, you can recruit mercenary units only in inns.

    Hmm very odd,
    try making it
    "and event_counter arquebus_invented 1"
    Can't really think of anything else, still if all the other conditions work it would be strange that this one decides to be different.

    Yes, in most of them, but their recruitment is also tied to that event.

    Yeah, I'm also curious about that.
    By the way, apparently I made a change to the game that apparently ended up screwing it up (when I start a campaign, the game quits, and says that an unknown error occurred, or something), so I have to start everything all over again, from assigning the units to the buildings, to assigning the hidden resources to the regions.
    Can you believe that?
    I only wish that GeoMod had a full screen option.

    If a building is available to both types of settlement (no castle or city entry) then you won't need the conversion entry.
