Dear President Ahmadinejad,
I, a citizen of the United States, would like to reply to your message to President Bush. As a registered voter here in the United States, unlike the average citizen of your esteemed country, hold the real power in this country. As such I am qualified to respond to the comminique to President Bush.
Honored President I agree with you that the pursuit of science and technology is a noble task. A task that all peoples should devote energy too. We would like nothing more than to become a partner in these efforts with the ingenious scientists of Iran, but at this time such cooperation is impossible. It is my goal in this reply to tell you what would be required for our two great nations to foster a spirit of cooperation rather than distrust.
First, in order to increase trust between our nations, we ask you to formally recognize that the Holocaust of the Jewish people in Europe occurred. Doing this will show the entire world that your goal is peaceful and your conflict with the State of Israel is a simple political rivalry and not result in a disatorous armed conflict between your nation and Israel. By denying the Holocaust you are giving the impression that the conflict is an idealogical one in which armed conflict is a definite possibility.
Next, to achieve our goal we ask that you start negotations with the State of Israel and work diplomatically to end the conflict in that troubled area in a way that is mutually beneficial to all sides. That action will further demonstrate that Iran is a nation of peace and diplomacy that is attempting to cure the troubles and increase stability in the Middle East.
Third, we ask that you cease in your efforts to assist the counter-Iraqi Parliament forces in Iraq. Those forces are increasing instability in a nation that so desires stability and peace. If your support continues for these forces then nothing besides distrust may exist between Tehran and Washington.
Fourth, we implore that you allow those of other religions live freely in Iran. Doing so will prove to the world that you are not a theocracy. Also, you surely must not be afraid that if people choose other religions they would choose something besides Shi'ite Muslim, thus it is strange to see you do not allow them a choice.
Fifth, increase the rights of the people of Iran. Allow women to ride on the same elevator as men, and have the same rights as men. Allow your people a right to voice their opinion. Doing so will not make you weak, rather it shall make you stronger.
Throughout all I hope that the great states of Iran and the United States may live in peace. I hope we should grow together in peace. We hope that the grandchildren of the current generation of Americans and the grandchildren of the current generation of Iranians may grow up seeing one another as the greatest of friends.
