    Default Making an "unrecruitable rebel only unit" recruitable in campaign mode

    Im playing M2TW with LOTR 3.1 mod, and i was wondering if it is possible to add Spear Militia and Sword Militia to Eriador, Arnor, Dale, Gondor and Rohan factions to be recruited at the lowest level barracks for infantry.

    I have tried doing it according to the OP but got a crash with no log on 1. try and an unspecified error crash on 2. right after launch.
    im pretty sure everything was as it was supose to be but as soon as i change any of the files the game just wouldn't start anymore.

    Any feedback appriciated.

    I have managed to get the units for custom battles with the help of this http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=356981 , however i cant seem to get them to work right in campaign since these units arent recruitable from any buildings.


    1. What lines do i have to add to the barracks(city watch etc.) so that the Spear and Sword militia are recruitable?
    Anyone?
    2. Also what do the numbers in the export_descr_buildings mean?
    for instance:
    recruit_pool "High Sword" 1 0.15 2 0 requires factions { egypt, } and region_religion orthodox 33 and hidden_resource forest

    what do the numbers in orange mean?

    I don't know the 1, but 0.15 is the rate at which they become available for recruitment, 2 is the max you can have ready to recruit and 0 is the experience

    hmm...i see..The 1 could mean that it takes 1 turn for them to train and be ready, as some high end units take several turn to recruit

    1 0.15 2 0

    1 is an account of units available at start.
    0.15 is a replenish rate.
    2 is maximum account of available units.
    0 is a level of experience.

    And of course you can make this units available for every factions you want.

    Hepan, in export_descr_buildings.txt...

    Using "Gondor Spearmen" as an example (but I now realise this isn't one you were asking about)...

    "Gondor Spearmen" is found under barracks -> city_watch (level 3 barracks) and higher levels. Just copy those lines (3 lines in vanilla 3.1) to the lower levels: town_watch & town_guard. Then do a similar thing for castle_barracks: copy from militia_drill_square (level 4) to town_watch, town_guard & city_watch.

    Likewise for other units. Whatever level they first appear, copy them to lower levels.

    Make a backup of the file first.
