Default Republic at War: Civil War

    Republic at War: Civil War

Year 701 Ab Urbe Condita, t
    he world has changed....

The still rising power of the Mediterranean, Rome, is expanding trough the north. There, an ambitious and brilliant general known as Gaius Julius Caesar has subdued the gallic tribes, but the wars are far from over for the general. Deep in the woods of Gaul the chieftains can still taste the taste of freedom, will they give up to roman subjugation?

In the east, a greedy roman politician, Marcus Licinius Crassus wants to prove his military skills. Will he succeed in his attempt to conquer the vast lands east of the Euphrates?

And in Rome itself, a the brilliant general Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, proconsul of the provinces in Hispania is getting closer and closer to the "optimates" party of the Republic.

Who, among this romans should be the one with the enough power, military skill and political support to fulfill his ambitions?

    The mod.

RaW: Civil War is a mod set in the late roman republic, around the year 53 BC. By this time the domains of rome have grown around the mediterranean sea basin, and now the republic is seaking new lands beyond the borders of the sea, particulary in today's France by the hand of Gaius Julius Caesar.

But, what would be of rome and it's history without the struggle for power? This mod brings back the political struggle for power and subsequent civil war (historically) between Julius Caesar and Pompey, and who knows? With the correct leadership even the tragic defeat of Marcus Licinius Crassus might be avoided?

So now, let me introduce you to the factions confirmed so far for the mod:

    • Roman Republic
    • Cantabri
    • Aedui
    • Arverni
    • Suebii
    • Getae
    • Sarmatians
    • Ptolemaic Kingdom
    • Parthian Empire

The map the mod will be using: Mundus Magnus

Good luck if this is alive...
    A bomb's a bad choice for close-range combat.
