one more dumb modding question

I have noticed that there are multiple data folders in the install of RTR7.

One Data folder for Rome vanilla, one for BI and one for RTR.

If I make a modification to a .txt file in RTR data folder, must I also make an identical modification to the same file that is contained in the Rome vanilla and BI data folders ?
Or does simply making a moddification to a .txt file in the RTR data folder over - ride the other data folders ?

You just need to change a .txt file in the RTR folder, as that's the one the game will use when you launch it with the correct shortcut
