My favorites are:
Lúnasa
The Pogues
The Dubliners
John Doyle
The Chieftains
I really love the genre, but my current selection is quantitively limited. I would love to discover more.

Can someone translate what the title means, the Gaelic part.
Tír an Ceol
Land(country) (definitive article) Music.
However An is singular meaning "the" and in this context it should be plural Na and ceol should be plural to follow.
Tír na ceolta
Land of Music.
Ceol Traidisiúnta is traditional music which is what "folk" would be called. There is probably a way to write "folk music" but it wouldn't be that common.

This has a more 70's progressive folk-rock sound, but it's still Irish folk
What do you mean with folk: The actual traditional songs or modern ones done with some traditional influences? While I like groups like Gaelic Storm, I prefer the former and know more about that.
This is a good group in my opinion.
Irish tv re-did some old Gaelic folk songs in a few shows, quite good as well.
Liam Ó Maonlai is probably my most favourite Irish folk artist.
