Can I learn modding from TWC?

I have been considering putting together a deep mod since I bought Medieval II: Total War in august of last year. I realize how much work is involved and I'm not delusional, i'm not expecting to jump right in and start swimming. My question is, do you think that i could use the modding resources at TWC to start a mod, or at least to get started in the right direction? Right now the only modding i'm capable of is mapping.

Making an entire mod isn't what I want to do yet, rather I want to learn how to make one.

Also, if you ever need help, don't ever be afraid to ask somebody via pm. I will be more than willing to assist you with coding (unfortunately, scripting doesn't count in this area for me) and any technical errors with your mod.

I was when I first came to TWC a complete novice at modding! (now of course in my own opinion!) Am rather skilled & can do almost any modding except for modelling & advanced scripting
