    Default question about gold edition

    Hi,
I have had a lot of trouble with the steam version of Med 2 and kingdoms, but I was just wondering if the gold edition was the same as med II patched to latest + kingdoms patched to latest. I remember hearing somewhere that they were slightly different, this could be for a different game however.

    Thank you in advance,

They should be patched properly AFAIK.

The gold edition does not include the final 1.5 patch. Gold edition patches to kingdoms 1.4 and medieval 1.2(?). Kingdoms 1.4 however is enough to play SS. Make sure to install the correct patch when you update (there are about 4 or 5.... depending on region and gameversion). The steam executables could be different than the gold version / update ones and steam version is most likely already at 1.5.

    Thanks for your repies,
I decided to get the gold pack and when I installed it, it went to the steam folder I deleted previously.
It is still installing but it looks like it only does kingdoms while saying it does everything, and it looks to be using steam as a base.
If anyone has had any experience with this on how to either point it to a different direction, (i.e. not steam) or otherwise make it work properly please let me know

    Thank you in advance,
    King Agamemnon of Mtcenae
