Gamespy
I have had RTW for a few months now, but I finally took the time to install Gamespy Arcade. I installed it and it recognized I had RTW. When I went to play, it asked for the player name, so I put down the name, and hit the green check button. It said invalid cd key, so I went back a screen and entered the cd key for my game. I went back and put in my name when it brought me to the lobby. There were about ten-fifteen games started, and all of them were labeled as non-compatible. I found the European edition of Rome Anthology at a thrift store. Is there a compatibility problem if I have the European edition, or is it something else? Thank you for any help.

Re: Gamespy
It's best to play with a 'vanilla' R:TW or 'vanilla' R:TW BI. That is unmodded.
The installs need to be exactly the same. So, if anyone has used a mod then they will no longer be compatible with anyone else unless they have the extact same mod.
Also one thing that could cause a problem is the map.rwm file which can be found in \data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign. It can be safely deleted. The file if not present when the campaign starts it will be created from various text files in the data folder. If you don't want to delete it then simply move it to a different folder.
