Domus Aurelii, on the Palatine

[Tazgrent]

A Hispanic slave sees you on his way from leading Senator Tuscus out, and leaves for a moment. Returning, he motions you inside.

[Ozy]

Senator Cluilius arrived to Cotta's residence. A slave follows him, carrying a jar of wine to share with his colleage.

[Tazgrent]

You are met at the door by two slaves. One slave takes the jar, presumably so that it can be prepared in the kitchen. The other leads you into a lounge where Senator Cotta sits reading a scroll. He still wears his beard of mourning. Upon seeing you enter, he stands. "Senator Cluilius! How good that you've come! Please have a seat. Would you care for a snack?"

[Ozy]

"Certainly, senator. Are you alright?" he asked, noticing his state.

[Tazgrent]

"How can a man be fine in such times? A hero of the Republic lost to a traitor, and unwashed plebs demanding more and more and more... there can be no solace for true Romans such as ourselves."
