Default NTW crashing with ASSUS P6T board? Help!

    NTW crashing
Napoleon Total War crashes constantly on my desktop but never on my laptops. I have contacted, Sega and Steam and no help from either. I contacted ASUS the maker of my desktop motherboard and they said there are known issues with that game and my P6T board.
Here is what I have already done
    Net framework up to date
    Bios Up to date
    Steam Cache good
I have swapped out three different brands of hard drives with absolutely clean installs with two of them.
I have tried 4 different video cards (all NVidias) I have deleted and reloaded the game, deleted and reloaded the drivers for each of the 4 video cards and even tried clean installs of windows 7. The ASUS Bios was updated by the techs at CompUSA.
On my desktop, Roman Total War locks up occasionally, but never on my laptops.
Medieval Total War 2, Medieval Total War 2 Gold, Medieval Total War 2 Kingdoms crash occasionally, but never on my laptops.
Empire (ETW) and Napoleon Total War (NTW) crash constantly on my desktop but never on my laptops.
My new laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6-6186nr Entertainment Notebook PC. It’s a great laptop but I cannot run full graphics and it’s a bit slow on NTW even on low graphics settings. I want to run all the TW games on my desktop can you help me solve this problem?

Both machines are Core i7 second generation running windows 7. My laptop has a ATI 6770M 2GB dedicated ram with switchable graphics, but my games all ran without crashing on my old laptop that had a NVidia card in it too.

Post your dxdiag for the desktop. It would be a good place to start.
