So I'm playing as Eriador, pretty much just chillin. Blitzed OoG and allied with Isengard to prevent war, so pretty much hangin out, built up a great economy, for fun put together a dunedain stack, basically just waiting to reunite Arnor. It's like turn 76 and I decide to toggle_fow see whats going on and Rohan has gotten its ass kicked by Isengard and Mordor. I hurry and try to send a diplomat to them to try and cheat them back into it (give them tons of money basically) and of course by the time I get to them they're down to just Limlight Fort (which is still a motte & bailey) which is now being beseiged by Isengard. The beseiging army is a general and berserker unit, supported by a general w/ 2 uruk crossbow and a dunland clansmen. Also right by is a mordor army with a general and 4 units, one of which is uruks. I decide to try and bribe away a general to turn around n kick these armies away and then give Rohan tons of cash, bring my dunedain army down and start taking settlements and giving them back to Rohan. But it keeps saying "just rejected" (I save before every bribe attempt), for ALL 3 of the generals. So I start money cheating to try and bribe them, I get my gold to OVER 1,000,000!! And STILL they "just rejected". I mean WTF! The only thing I can think of is that I'm not at war with either of them (still technically allied with Isengard and neutral with Mordor), but I really didn't think that mattered. Their loyalty is pretty high on all 3, but still 1,000,000 gold and still no bribe?? Come onnnn. Can someone please explain this?
