    Heyho folks.
As i couldn't find this with the search function, i am going to ask here. Is it only for me the that the AI uses around 3-5 to complete their turns? So it takes about 20-25 mins from my turn 1 until turn 2. When i play regular Medieval it takes around 5 seconds to complete all AI turns.

On my pc it takes 20 secs at most... While 1 turn can take even 10 minutes sometimes (with no battles).

Maybe the option 'Follow AI Movement' is turned on ? that can drastically increase turn times

Don't think a turn in TATW has ever exceeded about 8 seconds for me. Unlike SS where it has sometimes gotten to a whopping 15ish seconds.

Yeah, same as Hallow I find turn times in TATW to be much faster than other mods and almost as fast as Vanilla.

I've only these issues when I'm using submods like Baron Samedi's one (it's a shame cause I love the features). Though this is probably due to the fact my computer sucks, single core to the win..

Medieval II only uses one core, so a powerful single core will get you further than multiple weaker cores.

Thx for the info, I guess other parts of my computer aren't that great either 'cause I can barely run the game with small unit sizes

    This.

Actually, in vanilla I only had 3 or 4 second turn times, now with baron samedi, it is 10-15 seconds if not more..

I found that the difference between the AI finishing turns in 2.1 and 3.1 is a whooping 10 seconds ( still doesnt kill the awesomeness)
Perhaps the game became more demanding on the PC's systems?

Scripts is one reason for long turn times. Baron, MOS, and other submods, add tons of scripts, so that's why you might notice slower turns when playing with submods. To speed things up go and delete some scripts you can live without. Leader death message and capitol lost message are good candidates for deletion that don't affect gameplay.

I have the same problem. Did take about 4 minutes with Baron Samedis scripts, so I deinstalled TA + Medieval. Defragmented my HD and reinstalled everything. In vanilla TA it takes 1 minute and 18 seconds, and that is very long, can't remember it was that long in earlier verisons.

    My PC:
AMD Phenom II X4 3,20 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    ATI Radeon HD 5770
    Win 7 64 bit.

I mean my PC isn't that bad and I can't figure out why it takes so long. Other games run smooth without any flaws.

Something is wrong with your PC mate. I have the very same specs and it takes 46 s max. (TATW without submods).

Hmm it must be something with my MTW installation, because all other games run very fast. Although I had turns that took about 45 sec. But still too long if you ask me.

What kind of other games do you run? Stuff like Skryrim or older games like RTW?
