Would you buy a updated exe?
The exe seem to be the restricting part in modding, so: Would you buy a "uppdated" exe file to copy-paste into the game. That would have the following features:
-230% bigger map.
-200 extra regions
-upp to 52 nations
-More of everything (religions, units, cultures...)
Modders would have to add these features though.

If they would make it DLC for about $5 with removed units, factions, map, cultures, religions limitations, a fixed kalmar union script, fixed the vassal command, more bug fixes I can't remember and more of these things. I guess it won't be so hard for CA to do. I would buy it then.
