Please help with downloading RTW Mods

I have recently downloaded R:TW Gold edition from Steam.

I would love to play a mod but I am not as computer literate as many of you are here. Thank you all for making these cool mods, I just do not understand how to download them and play them.

I have R:TW Gold on Steam, and I have Windows 7.
I was trying to get Lusted's "Terrae Expugnandae"
....But I cannot get it to work at all. If anybody can help me in playing this mod or one like it please post.

Does it have a downloader? If so you just have to make sure it is using the steam directory, if not you need to check and make sure that your files are able to open by going to the right directory and after that you need to go to the file and drag it to that directory. The proper directory for steam games is Computer/Local Disk (C/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/rome total war gold

Not all mods are steam friendly, some will require a few tricks to work well.
XGM, XC and DTW have installers that works with steam, if you're looking for mods to try they should work well.
