Kingdoms start screen: sound keeps playing

I have the steam version of kingdoms.

I start the game, I get the medieval II menu where I can choose the campaign and I start the game. The menu doesn't exit and the music keeps playing, which I quite annoying.
Is their a way to fix this?

Once you have the game started, you have to alt-tab and use the Task Manager to "end process" the Launcher. That will get rid of the Launcher menu and music.
