Campaing question

hey im now downloading the mod and the game ( medieval 2 kingdoms ) and i would like to know does the campaing acts like the other total war games ? for example do i get to attack the faction i want or is it an objective based campaing ?.

If you're a good faction, you can only attack evil ones. But if you're evil, you can attack whomever you want

Unless one of the Empire-faction turn to worship chaos, then you can burn some of your own kind
