kk thanks again
I'm currently looking into a new mirror, the download thread will be updated as that progresses.
In so far as adding more units, most of the additional unit mods haven't been integrated yet, so that change is on the way.
ok i tried again and the same thing happend sorry about all this.
Right, I'll see about finding a new mirror for it. Watch this space
thanks
What happened here? Why are all of the old threads deleted? This mod is still being developed, right?
TGW Mod Official Unit Cutter-Outer
Of course, hence why this discussion thread and all of the other necessary threads are still here.
ok i finally downloaded it after a few hours of constant waitingbut now i get a error at the end of the instalation
Love EiC, magnificent job folks!!
I was wondering if anything could be done about general portraits. It only takes a few minutes on line to find portraits in the public domain. Is there a way we could all pitch in and find portraits for our favorite generals and build a replacement mod?
Can someone guide me in enabling the camera height to be raised and if possible the speed of battles to be slowed down?
I have some instructions on camera height but can't find the p[references_scriprt.txt in my Steam version installed on a Win7 machine.
I'm not sure if there is a fix for slowing down the speed of battles. I find teh default speed to be absurd.
Thanks for any help.
preferences_script.txt file is located in (for Vista and Win7)
C:\Users\"youraccountname"\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts
Find default_camera_type change 0 to 2 and save file
Absurdly fast, or absurdly slow?
There are a few mods which deal with this already, like this, you could take a look at those and see if you like them.
I don't see any reason why they should be incompatible with EiC.
Using this but when one press a place on the mini-map the camera goes deep down near hell which is kinda of annoying.
I'm sorry. Absurdly fast.
I know the game needs to be playable and entertaining but I don't see why there can't be an 'option' to slow the pace down to make it less of a click-fest. As it is a trooper with a full pack and musket is making about 40mph over broken terrain if you time it out.
I'll take a look at it, as it stands EiC is one of the "slowest" mods.
actually guys - now that I'm back home I can't find that path at all or for that matter a preferences_script.txt anywhere...do I have to unpack something forst and if so where would I find that tool in my Steam version of the game?
