    Default Historically accurate armies

I'm just trying to make an army for Baktria. Point is i like to have armies that can fight well but at the same time follow a sort of historical model (no 20 silver shield banners). My original plan was to have one unit of Baktrian Agema and Indo Greek nobles, two pezhetairoi, three klerichoi and four pantodapoi (sp?) phalangites, a general or two and the rest a mixture of archers and skirmishers ( mostly expendable ).

Now however i have been driven from the west into India ( kophen, opiana and taksishila ) i have no access to phalangites except very limited merc phalangites ( which are precious and really gives a great role-play feeling since i can't replace them, they're like the men of Alexandros ). It does however leave a gap of 6-7 units to fill which i'm not sure what to use. The best men are the indo-hellenic hoplites but even in their info it describes that they are a lesser part of the army ( in terms of numbers ) so having the gaps all filled with them might be overkill though they don't perform that well against cataphracts so i'm sure.

Anyone have any opinions / ideas?

Build up your regional MIC for the Sreni Patta (guild warriors), they're effectively better versions of the Thrakioi Rhomphaioioioi or w/e they're called. They'll tear phalanxes to pieces. The indian agema (forget what they're called, Taksilan Agema iirc) are also great. Use the indo-hellenic men to hold a line for a limited time whilst your faster troops flank. Your late BG is also a phenomenal cavalry unit.
