I am watching this incredible series, I came across a joke which I don't understand and I didn't find the video with subtitles, if someone could write it down here please.

It is a bit of word play.
Since they are on a hillside they are not level or straight but are on an angle. The word for level is also used in an idiom called being on the level which means being honest. Thus the guy seducing the girl is not level in both meanings of the word he is neither straight nor is he being very honest. Though it is strange since this is a "japanese" joke that is based on an English idiom.
Ah those were the days, when you could get away with casual racial and national stereotypes.
'When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything. '
-Emile Cammaerts' book The Laughing Prophets (1937)
