Default Exactly which files does names.txt.strings.bin get built from?

Seeing much different sized bin files from different mods, even though I am using the same name.txt and descr_names.txt in both mods.

Anyone know exactly which files the game pulls from when it is creating the names.txt.strings.bin?

    Thanks,

    Ronnie

sting files need to be converted to text files to be edited...once it's done being edited then the string files should be deleted and the game builds the new string file from the text version...therefor it get's drawn from the text file of the same name (names.txt)

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Bin are all exracted already. Need to know exactly which .txt file the game uses to rebuild the bin files once they have been deleted.

Sorry Val. Trying to read you post on my phone. I wonder why I'm getting such drastic size changes in the names.txt.string.bin.

    Will investigate further this afternoon.

    Thanks

File size should be same if names.txt file is the same, strange indeed.

Something odd for sure. Probably a mistake by me.

Anyway I'm working on eliminating all of the name conflicts from Meneth's descr_strat once the names.txt has been slimmed down. I'll retest bin creation as soon as I'm done.
