How many times must one destroy Mordor?

Playing as High Elves, I got the One Ring, took my best soldiers into the black lands, and managed to destroy the one ring, and in so doing, Mordor. Swell.

All their settlements were left empty, and within a few turns I was occupying all settlements in the black mountains. Approximately 4 or 5 turns after destroying the ring, Mordor reemerges as a faction with a single full stack wandering around the black lands. Several turns later I destroy that stack, and Mordor (the faction) is once again wiped out. The NEXT turn Mordor emerges again. It's the exact same stack as before (4 orc bands, 4 orc raiders, 1 uruk halberd, 3 mountain troll units, 2 troll catapults, 3 orc archers and a general that starts with crappy stats on his first turn, but becomes godly on the next turn).

I have yet to attack this third iteration of Mordor. The question is, will these respawns keep happening forever? Or will I eventually actually destroy Mordor? Anyone know?

I think here only once spawn 4 stacks. So it could be you just destroy 1 of them

without it respawning a rediculous number of times...in Mordor!!!

I'm sincerely hoping that it's not a ridiculous number of times, because, well, that would be simply... ridiculous! If it is, I guess I'll just have to perfect my troll killing skills.

Most people probably don't know this, but unlike TATW 2.1, Mordor is a horde faction in TATW 3.1 (unconditionally). That means that even if you have taken all of their settlements, they will continue to exist if they have any armies left. Additionally if they have lost all of their settlements, they receive a so-called horde stack (for free). It is a feature similar to the horde-feature present in my compilation (since V3.0 to be exact).

that makes sense seeing as how when the ring was destroyed the orcs fled Mordor and werent hunted down or completely destroyed like the Uruk-Hai of Isengard were

So how do you wipe out Mordor completely without going to descr_strat and making it a normal faction?

Well, it's been a good 25 or so turns since I last wiped out Mordor, and they haven't come back to haunt me yet. The Black Lands of Mordor are all predominantly of Elven culture now, so I'm guessing that I've wiped them out for good. We'll see, though. I destroyed them 3 times total, once with the destruction of the 1 ring, and 2 "start up stacks" that came after.
