Hey fellas 2 questions :

I just accepted Aragorn as a general with Gondor and it says he can become king, I suppose he must win lots of battles to be crowned, will he be named Elessar and will he be faction leader despite Denethor being alive ?

Is it possible to reunite Arnor and Gondor ?

Are you playing with the Reunited Kingdom submod?


In vanilla it's possible to make Aragorn Steward but it involves killing off everyone in line before him. And you can't reunite the kingdom

In Barons Sub-Mod you can start off as the re-united Kingdom and have Aragorn lead it. Or you can also have Aragorn just lead Gondor as King.

I'd try Barons Sub Mod. It actully allows you to pick what thing you want to do at the start of the camapign.

Well, as awesome as Aragorn is to have as a general, and due to the fact that his King traits will cancle out the Steward traits if he gets into the family and becomes ruler, his children will only have the Steward traits. The only benefit to declining Aragorn from being a general of Gondor is the Arnor re-emergence. The only thing I can offer you, and this is to offer you the full Reunited Kingdom experience, is to play both Gondor and Eriador in multiplayer mode in vanilla.

Or you can download the Baron Samedi submod and actualy play as The Reunited Kingdom

On a side note, As Arnor when I change to RK I keep the Arnor units in all of my cities and Gondorian units in Gondor. If I started as Gondor and Became The Reunited Kingdom would I
1: Be able to train Arnorian units in Eriador and Gondorian units everywhere?
2: Be able to train Arnorian units everywhere and Gondorian units in Gondor?
3: Only be able to train Gondorian units?

Well, no, not exactly. The people hail Aragorn as the true King, and he gets benefits from the people as a type of hero. For example, in the Crusades campaign, Richard is hailed as the King of England, but he is not the faction leader of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. Aragorn is hailed as the King of Eriador/Arnor and Gondor, but the script says that he is only "King" of Eriador/Arnor. Now, it is conceivable that a script could be made so that Eriador/Arnor could gain control of Gondor when the ruling Steward dies like in the Teutonic campaign when one tries to unite the Norse and Denmark, but King Kong and his team have not yet found a way to do that......

not save compatable due to the fact that you have to choose what you want to play with and without.. if you want more info on barons submod, suggest you check out his submods thread.. lists everything there

Thats actually not true. The Aragorn of Eriador gets send off map the moment you accept Aragorn's offer when playing as Gondor.
