    Default Stack Spam limit?

I'm trying out Baron Samedi's gameplay tweaks and one I'm unsure of is the "Limited AI Stack Spam". I'm unclear on what it does or how it balances and nothing came up in a forum search or in the in game description to help it be more clear.

Does it limit the number of units the AI and Player can build? How is it balanced if it only limits the AI? Has anyone that's played with it comment on whether the balance is the same or not?

I'd hate to just steamroll the AI because it limits their money or recruiting....

    Thanks!

Well for MOS I use a method of halving the EDB stats which affects both the player and AI. I have not played Baron's new release so I don't know what it does. Maybe a similiar method... Maybe it removes a few of the AI cheats. You had best post this in his submod topic as this doesn't really belong here as it's related to a submod and vanilla is not involved in any way.

    Hope this helped

All right, thanks for the input. I read his description of limiting the debt money thing for the AI, I just wondered from people who played with the mod if it messed up the balance of the game or not.

I think this is essentially what Baron does. He limits the AI debt script so that the AI does not have the ability to go on the offensive every single turn. I have played a couple of campaigns with it and really like it. I haven't noticed it changing the balance too much, just that you're not constantly fighting stack after stack. So, it does what it is supposed to do.

I played with it on, and I still had a pretty hard time fighting Rohan as Isengard VH/VH. That said, I am playing Isengard which starts with one castle and is surrounded by Rohan almost entirely so that that how you will.

What "Vanilla Stack Spam" does ( there is no other ):
    Affects the AI only!
AI gets money for free and build units... masses of units... mainly militia/peasants!
The less settlements the AI has... the more money it gets... the more peasants attack you! ( elite units have a small replenishment rate )

Important note: If the AI has a big kingdom... you do not see a difference as the AI "earns" the money needed to produce units with taxes/trade!

    ---------------------------------------

    The problem most people have:
The human player usually attacks with an elite army => beeing attacked by 20 units of peasants is an easy win... no losses... 30 minutes of playing... 5 times every turn!
This is no challange... just time consuming and makes you beeing bored most of the time... auto resolve would make you loose half of your army so you fight manually...

If you disable this ( Stack Spam ) you will not be forced to bash millions of peasants... your units do not earn experience "for free" and the AI has a bigger percentage of elite units!

    So...

    pro Stack Spam:
you get high trained units "for free"
easy wins every turn... if you hide half of your army and attack with only a few units => heroic victory => 10 star general with chivalry/authority at maximum

    contra Stack Spam:
    you get bored very fast
you need to watch TV while fighting a battle
    you smoke a lot more
    no difficulty increase
