Default mordor armies hiding in gondor

I'm playing with gondor and tha palantir showed me twice gondor (mostly the western regions) where orc armies with the banner of mordor are hiding but not doing anything.
    1) is it normal ?
    2) what do they have to do with the books/films ?

    Yes.
Using the palantir may trigger the spawning of stacks. Enjoy your challenge

I have deduced, from your knowledge of Middle-Earth background, that you read scrupulously History of Middle Earth. Given your close-minded opinion on various aspects of Tolkien lore in detriment of TATW interest and gameplay, I believe that
you are better suited to that reading activity, and suggest you go back to it.
I guess it could work for some guys with Battle of Middle Earth as well...

Don't be tricked by the dark lord. Don't let the palantir corrupt you. He can show you what he wants,

Yep, remember that Sauron is the great deceiver and he can show you things that may or may not be true.

Lore-wise, this isn't exactly true. Even Sauron can't make the Palantir lie. He can "drag" your attention when he wants to. For example, he forced Denethor into constantly see at the might of his forces, making him more and more desperate, but he couldn't have forced the Palantir to show non-existent armies.
It's only after you have lost everything, that you are free to do anything.

Maybe he just let you think those armies are in Gondor while they are really in Mordor

One small problem, Mordor is black as hell and Gondor has all these nice forests with birds and little blue streams

Ah, no big deal, we usually come to forums to have answers.

Yes, you really should not have told him, first time I saw an orc army near Pinnath Gelin I hurried an entire stack west only to find the dark lord had played a tricksie and had used this time to take Osgiliath
"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

Actualy anyone who has read the books would realise that Sauron can not make you see something that does not exist and therefore anything you see in the Palanti should be real
Even he could not manipulate the Palantir like that due to their design being far above him.

I did not use it early on though, the only time I use the Palantir is when I remember which is quite late in the game.

Yes I did but don't blame me for the idea. Unless you like it of course, then I take full credit.
