Christ was born in the Spring but there was a popular pagan festival in late December, so they moved it to December/January

Also, I think the 6/7th isn't seen as the true birth, but instead the arrival of the wise men

Yeah it was much more likely to be around April or June as for the year there is some contradiction on that account.

Yeah, here (Latinamerica) we celebrate the arrival of the Wise men at the night of the 6th (or 5th?). Traditionally this is when kids get a Christmas gift (as baby Jesus got gifts from the Wise men), altough with Santa Claus becoming more popular internationally kids get a gift on both dates. Those were the days...

Exactly. As we all know, Christmas has nothing to do with christ's birth whatsoever.
