Default English armies appearing from nowhere

While playing the Americas campaign as New Spain, I was invaded by the English Colonies. Ok, I reunited an army and destroyed them in 3 battles. But then something strange happened. After a few turns I saw an English army standing there. Weird, since I've seen the "Faction Destroyed" notification. And there were no notifications about foreign fleets arriving. Anyway, I get my army again and defeated them. The "Faction Destrotyed" stuff appeared again. But after a few more turns another damn army appeared out of nowhere! I destroyed them as well.

Now, another English fleet arrived (this time, the "normal" way). But I was wondering. If I destroy them, will this armies keep appearing? They have no general, just a capitain who is said to be the faction leader.

(Another weird thing happened when dealing with the French in the North. When I took all of their settlements, their armies, which were wandering around, simply went "flying" to the opposite direction, and a notification appeared, saying that they were searching for a place inside the continent to establish themselves. The game lagged when this happened.)

Anyone had similar experiences? Is this normal?

They're like the Mongols, they get several stacks, separated by a few years.

Please rep me for my posts, not for the fact that i have a Pony as an Avatar.

Yeah but the Mongols appear from somewhere, don't just pop up in the middle of the map.

Everything is normal. The Europeans are horde factions, so if they do take a settlement, and you capture it, the AI gets a free respawn army. Also, if you destroy all stacks, they will keep respawning due to campaign scripts.

That kinda sucks... So, no matter how many times I destroy them, these weird armies will keep "teleporting" to the map? I was hoping to have a peaceful Yucatan peninsula until the next fleet of them arrives, so I could push north...

I don't remember if the respawning is endless. Maybe it isn't.

Nope it's not endless. You're done with them soon, don't worry.

I remember in my campaign as Apacheans, I fought and destroyed wave after wave of French armies up in the north.
They almost always showed up at the same place, however, but the point is that it ended after a while (took like twenty turns of new armies every turn, though)

Looks like England has 8 waves and France 10

But shouldn't them be coming in fleets, and their presence being announced?

Well, the armies just get dropped on the coast I guess as the AI would do stupid things if you put all of them on boats and I don't have the game unpacked so I can't see the text folder with the historic_event.txt and I also doubt that every wave will be anounced

See? I killed the entire English wave, and pressed "End turn". And there is another army on my map . Half a stack, just like the others. No boat near it, so I don't know how they got there... Well, whatever. I'll just keep killing them.

Only a few waves get ships, the smaller ones you're facing now don't, only 2 major waves get ships too
