    Icon5 Income problems

Hey, maybe I suck but we've been playing a couple different games in different difficulty levels, but it is really hard to win money.

We were playing with Eriador and winning, with cities starting to get bigger, but still no money was flowing in our coffers, and went even broke a couple times!

    Any tips?

There are plenty of guides around about how to improve your economy. You can use the search function to look for them.
This one is outdated in some things, but most of the principles still apply: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...=economy+guide

As a quick advice I can tell you this:
    - Build farms, mines, roads, ports and then some buildings that increase law (like barracks) to decrease corruption. Other stuff you should really pick what to build... maybe buildings that increase population but as secondary as what I said before.

    - Don't adopt new generals, or only the very good ones, and very, very few. You have to pay their wages and their upkeep... they eat your income.

    - Don't recruit more troops. Well, do it, but only when you need to defend or expand. Think strategically how to defend your fronts and keep only free upkeep units in citys that won't be attacked. Move the extra units from those settlements to the front to aid there.

    - Win the battles with minimal losses...

Well, there's more, but that should help you a little. Have fun!

P.S.: did I mention decreasing the difficulty? maybe try a M/H campaign to see how it goes till you get the hang of it.
