What is the recommended difficulty?

Both with the ''normal'' and Peninsular campaigns, what is the recommended diffculty to set ?

Hard/Hard just like with Empire I suppose?
Does the AI behave differently when you alter the difficulty?

Well im playng VH/VH and i can assure you i'm having a blast.

I found maybe CAI a little too sneaky whit alliance breaking but its ok. BAI believe incredibly. Last night i had a 50 minute long battle (Italian state vs Austria) and for the whole fight it seems like i was playng whit an average human player (and i'm not new to TW series so believe me if i say that the AI performed amazingly!!).

The difficulty seems to be preset with me at veryhard CAI and hard for battle AI, and I'm having a very hard time!

In the 40 Unit Campaign the preset is Very Hard Battle / Very Hard Campaign but you can change the battle difficulty from the options.

Yes, I did a fine job, I must confess myself. I am very proud of this BAI. In the upcoming version 1.8 you will have a super blast.

Does this also mean I can change the campaign difficulty back to hard as well or does the mod lock it into VH no matter what I set it to in the nation select screen?

I've never understood difficulty in TW games. In lots of RTS/RTT games, difficulty really only affects statistics: at higher difficulties, enemy units get more attack/defense. For that reason I usually just play Normal, as giving the AI statistical handicaps isn't appealing to me, more of an artificial difficulty increase than an honest one. Is this not the case in NTW? Does the difficulty affect the AI's ability, not unit stats?

This coming weekend I will try to put up a detailed set of instructions on how to create and edit your own savefiles so you can take complete control of your campaign while enjoying 40 unit stacks, while at the same time (and most importantly) free these two guys to do their magic on the AI exclusively without having to waste time with setting up said savefiles.

Nobel prize... bah! that is awarded to guys like obama, krugman, arafat...definitely not worth even dumping it in the closet, perhaps as a back scratcher...it could be useful but...
I would humbly suggest a command of the International Space Station...perhaps he could mod a turbolaser there and...well...a man can dream
