Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers

Currently at 182BC. My borders have not changed, other than the capture of Massilia in 185BC. Still pressure from Rome to south and west, Britons to West, and enormous expansion by Macedon to the south and east. All forementioned groups producing many stacks of warriors. Im still at war with Gaul, but have not fought with them for many decades.
On the horizon, Carthage growing large, and is now fighting with Iberia on the Spanish penisula.

Thats a nice little empire; it looks like Byzantium (except it is missing Constantinople).
I started to play a campaign, but haven't made it very far due to school work.
3 provinces to go...
this was my continuation of the greek TE succession campaign.
the germans declared war, i had a lack of armies on the frontier (they covered all the northern frontier), but i built some new armies (almost killing my economy) and moved some from asia minor (where i was overstretched already vs seluecids) but turned it around from german invasion into a steamrolling
Spies infiltrated their provinces, my armies just wondered right through in a march to denmark, cutting their empire in half, i thentook most of the eastern portion and let the western section remain as a buffer vs carthage etc (like i allowed the romans to continue for the same reasons - alps are strong defensive position)
armenia had northern turkey, declared war too, i did the same thing for them, steamrolled right up to their capital., i met them aswell around the black sea, sent spies who rebelled so they are nice buffer between my relatively unprotected border and armenia's heh
its the whole world vs me atm, has been for a long time..only parthia, baktria and britannia are not at war with me, the seluecids have crap loads of armies but i keep them bottled up along river frontiers.
for my last 3 province gains im moving my german armies to alexandria and the sea-based egyptian provinces, jerusalem and so forth.

Gaius Baltar: thats a wierd campaign :/ greeks in middle east, carthage destroying egypt etc :S
Greeks really took off in that one, as did Carthage. I guess you can see that from time to time. I have played many times where Egypt has taken over all of AFrica and the middle east, so its refreshing to get a look at another army.Gaius Baltar: thats a wierd campaign :/ greeks in middle east, carthage destroying egypt etc :S

Had any tough battles yet? I always have fits with the Ponts, particularly after they get on thier feet and produce large groups of Catapharacts and Pikeman.Originally Posted by chaplain118

nope, built up 3 MASSIVE armies of battlehard veteran royal pikemen and companion cavalry. My economy's ruined though.
Hardest battle was prolly against an army almost my size with the Seleucids out by Susa (but my armies are mostly gold chevrons and silver weapons and armor, so it was pretty much a cakewalk)

I think RTW TE is better than any game I've ever played.
