CTD when initiating a siege battle
Happy New Year warriors of Antiquity. I finally was able to download EB1.2 +fixes after a few tries and am playing a campaign as Carthage. After a dozen turns or so I picked a fight w/Numidian rebels in Kirstan. As soon as I pressed the start battle button I get a CTD. Happened twice. I have a brand new SOA Dell THX gaming computer w/ all the bells and whistles. Is this something thats common w/this mod? Also,at the intro to the game is the movie supposed to be the RTW version? Maybe It isn't downloaded correctly? I initiate the script before I start the game as instructed. Everything else seems to work fine (so far). I have had one open field battle and it was awesome. Any help from "the smarter than me on computers people" would be greatly appreciated. This mod is got me hooked and i'm determined to get this game corrected. Thanx again.

Re: CTD when initiating a siege battle
Are you sure that 1.2 is properly installed (Check the version number in the main menu) and that the fixes are in their right place? If you have Vista/Win7, don't install RTW+EB into Program Files or disable UAC while installing/applying fixes.
Are any FM's involved that don't have movementpoints left?
Did you try to attack the city at another point, e.g. just one turn later?

Re: CTD when initiating a siege battle
Thank you XSamatan for your quick response and Happy New Year. Main menu reads ver.1.2. Its not any problem w/movement points, initiated seige battle with my army next to Kirstan (whole army sat next to town for 1 turn before battle, hardly moved at all) The only thing you suggested could be the fixes, because they seemed tricky to install. How do I know if they are installed correctly? Forgive me,my computer and programing skills are limited but I'm willing to learn because these games are right up my alley.

Download the fixes and extract them to a neutral folder. (if you are using Vista/Win7 and RTW+EB is installed into Program Files, disable UAC for the next step). Now copy and paste one fix after the other to its belonging folder (as noted on the fixes page). You should get a prompt for overwriting. If not, you dropped them into a wrong folder.
