    Default Terrae Expugnandae 5.0 - Preview 3

    Hey everyone, this weeks preview is more of an update on progress and improvements made in 5.0, it does not focus on one area in particular like the last two.

    Unit Cards

    Being the perfectionist i am(its the modders disease), im going through and redoing all of the unit cards for every faction. I've already done the romans, and work is progressing well in this area. Here's a pic of how the roman unit cards now look:



    Senate offices

    Thats right, there back. I cannot get the senate office list, or the end of turn message notifying of new offices working as they are linked to the senate faction which is removed, but i can get them back in as traits. I've not perfected the triggers yet, but im getting there. That's why you will only see certain offices in these pics:

    Im adding in more variety and improved captain character models for the campaign map in 5.0, below are pics of how some factions captains look:

    It's good that you are redoing the Unit cards. I always like mods which care about those "small" things. A nice interface with nice unit cards enhances fun on the campaign map a bit. :original:

    The victory conditions will have any change in 5.0 ?

    No, victory conditions will be the same as in 4.0.

    Lovely!! I can't wait you release the mod. By the way all your roman characters have glutton traits. I hope it's not too common in your mod.

    Thats just because i was cheating to get extra money as it was a test campaign, so i had a latge amount of money hence all the glutton traits. Its not common, and building an academy in your cities will counteract quite a few negative traits.

    It's good that you are taking care doing the unit cards Lusted, they definitely improve the game experience but tend to get treated as an after thought.

    You're right as allways, Boudicca. And for perfectionist modder (in another words, true modder) there aren't a small things related to mods unique atmosphere and feeling.

    Unit cards are no small thing, they take a long time to do, and as i've already done most of the improvements 5.0 will make, i have had enough time to do unit cards, though it is a slow process.

    Well Lusted said in about a month, but then he said that a week or two ago, so an estimate is maybe 3 weeks? I dont know for sure, as it matters on how everything goes, and how far Lusted is with his work.
