Sadly I don't think it's going to live up to the books or even the TV show

Also, "Mors is a skinchanger and can slip into his dog " is a pretty disgusting way to describe it, lmao.

I think you are right i don't think it will live up to all that but i'm interested to find out the story of those characters that they are introducing to play as

It is going to be a complete and utter failure. The story will suck as will the controls and the gameplay. The visuals look like , and looking at some more Cyanide games, there's not much hope for improvement. Imo, Cyanide is one of the worst game developers on earth. Look at their first attempt...

Bethesda might have been able to pull it off, or at least make a playable game.

Because, you know, he might not know which computer games/Developers are good. Or they made an good offer, and he decided to take the money, not caring whether the game will be good or not.

BUT who knows? It might be good, or at least decent. As far as i know cyanide has never done an real rpg before- Maybe it suits them. But judging from their previous games...

Yeah George seems like more of a pen and paper old school guy. And Cyanide own the rights to make ASOIAF games (think the contract was 2 games).

The engine and graphics look pretty much like DA2. Yet I too think that Cyanide was one of the worst choices they could come up with. Even Paradox can come up with a much better render.
We should also bear in mind that bringing Westeros to RP gaming is no easy task as there is no constant plot line by one particular character. To capture the spirit and the lore, they would have to make multiple playable characters which is never a good thing when it comes to RPGs.

The wall trailer made me interested, the other one just made me depressed. The positive thing is that I have very few or no expectations for it, so it has to exceed them.

A game like Skyrim situated in Westeros would be one of the best RPG's ever, but as far I can see, this one is far from it.

what interests me the most is the plot of the game if the plot is good then i will be satisfied with the game

I understand your opinion but to be honest if you don't care about the graphics you might as well read the books (not saying that you haven't). A game that has only a good plot line and nothing else is a pointless creation really.

when i said game mechanics i did not refer to graphics exactly because i enjoy a good looking game

and there's one more thing why would i read the books again will the books have the storyline of the characters they are gona introduce in this game of course not
because it will bring a new point of view of the story

Fair enough, I just doubt Cyanide will succeed on that point as well.

But lets hope I'm wrong and this becomes the game of the year!

Made by Focus and Cyanide => Fail....
It will be maybe a kool game (for 15€) but a buggy, non finish one with ZERO improvement for sure. Like always with this franchises, they take the money and they leave, they don't know the fluff and don't care about the communauty and a perfect game.

Why áre we forced to play two random dudes, when its 20% cooler to play as one you make self. for eksemple Dragon age, Tes, saints row, mount and blade and there is properly more.
BUT why are they shooting them self in the foot with this. So what I see is not so much a Free rooming Rpg, But a linear Rpg game like Dragon age.
So much for a hope for a better year with better games =(

But I still Have HIGH hopes for season two =)

AND its easy to bring up a good setting for the game, the time before Roberts rebellion, there you(the player) is a squire for one of the 8 great houses minor lords, and you got to rises up in ranks and titles, and get land and women and honor.

Exactly. That's the simplest formula for a good game. You'd be able to interact with characters and locations from the books and gain power and prestige. Pretty much all that's needed for an aSoIaF/WoT game.

For all you hoping to have a game from Bethseda, they will never make AGoT video game. And I say that thankfully. It'd be waaay too boring anyways. Not to mention they can only fit like 1,000 - 2,000 named characters at max. And in Westeros, that'd be enough to get you most of the nobility.

You're most likely right. An RPG based on ASoIAF would require too much background history and character depth. Not to mention the size of the world.

I'll enjoy myself with the references to ASoIAF in Skyrim instead.

it's not that impossible all we need for a good ASOIAF rpg to be good is to wait 6 to 10 years till they can come up with something that will satisfy the fan base of asoiaf fan base since the universe o this series has so manny things in it

Yes that is true, they said that in a interview. But to be fair Tes. is a pretty good game and same goes for fallout =). but some how its maybe true, that westros is to big to fit into one game, and will only work out in a rts.
