    I have this mod installed with RC and I noticed that I cannot load my Rohan saves anymore - causes the game to crash. I think this mod causes the conflict because the log says that the "export_descr_buildings.txt" and "descr_mount.txt" that came with this mod is the source.

    This what I'm seeing in my log:

    I'm sorry but I'm not good at reading/fixing script, any aid would be appreciated.

    If I remember correctly, this submod does not affect descr_mount.txt. Here is the list of files it affects:
    export_descr_unit.txt data folder
    export_descr_buildings.txt data folder
    export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt data folder
    export_units.txt data/text folder
    battle_models.modeldb data/unit_models folder
    descr_strat.txt data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
    The only change in the export_descr_buildings.txt is a new line in each barracks for the new unit - gondor levies. I believe, descr_mount.txt is affected by RC itself. Also, this submod was made compatible with RC1.4, i believe. I never tested save-game compatibility for other factions, only with gondor.

    I would suggest to go into the respective folders and delete the above mentioned files, then rename the backups. Ex: descr_strat_backup.txt into descr_strat. All of the backups are for vanilla 3.1. Then, install RC over again. And it should work with Rohan saves, assuming Rohan saves were made with RC. Other than that, I cannot think of any solution.

    There are some other submods by Emperror of Hell and Mhaedros. You may want to check them out. As for this mod, unfortunately I do not have time now. However, during summer i plan to have some modding time, although i cannot promise i will come up with big updates. Though, it will be Gondor mostly, i believe. Thanks for asking.

    So I did a little tinkering with the files and found out that RC's "descr_mount.txt was the source". The RC version of your mod came with that file.

    I have always thought this the preferred method of upgrading mods rather than adding units, as adding units is really hard to balance. Anyway onto the real question, looking at the file list it appears that I copy paste your files, and then manually add the projectile and mount files from Nemesis's RC. Yes/No??

    I have already forgot if the version of this submod for Nemesis's RC includes his files as well. Unfotunately, I am not at home at the moment and cannot check for the contents. I would suggest downloading the file from OP, unpacking, and checking for the content of descr_mount.txt. If it is there, then simply copy all the files over into data folder of vanilla TATW 3.1. If its not there, then copy over the RC files first, and only then this submod. Anyways, you can't go wrong by copying over RC files first and then this submod files. So the answer is NO.

    Regarding your comment about upgrading existing units, i agree with that, partially. Usually, people want to create their own things, its a natural desire, so modders tend to come up with new units rather than improving someone's work. Also, making a quality armour upgrade is almost like making a new unit. It may take less effort to make a new unit than make three upgrades for existing ones. Therefore, it seems to be more attractive to make new units. It is good to have both actually. I am quite happy to see more modders working in this direction.

    It will, probably after a couple of weeks.

    Never mind that. I will try to release the 3.2 compatible version of V1.2 today, so that some people can start their gondor campaign with this submod as soon as possible.

    EDIT: There are some errors at the moment, the game crashes although it should be working in theory. I will try to fix it and release later.

    I am planning to work on it this summer. Currently waiting for inspiration and a lot of free time to do it.

    Ok, I will spoil some of my plans. Some AOR units for different provinces are coming in V1.3. Then, I would like to try working with scripting and other stuff in V2.0 and above, basically enhancing gameplay not just visually.

    There are some minor pieces of models i made a while ago, but nothing serious yet. Also, I would like not to use Rusichi team's models as a base, so the next release may take some more time. If everything goes as planned and V1.3 gets released, I will let everyone use my models as they wish. Something like open source material. Thats why I want to make everything from scratch.

    I still could not fix the problem with the compatible version for TATW3.2. I hope experienced modders will help in the modding threads and this thing gets released. Please be patient.

    Ive never encountered the error before unfortunatly and the entry looks good to me
    I know you just copied and pasted the entry but, What i recomend however is to remove that entry and create a new one from scratch, it shouldnt take long and that will tell you if there is a problem with that entry or if in fact it may be another file (sometimes the system log i just useless ) tell me what that does ill ask around to seeif i can find someone whos had this error

    also go to the TATW file in the third age folder, before you go into data change it to look like this, then run the crash again at it will give you more in depth info, it may prove usefull

    The new more detailed error log and bmdb screen are attached to this post. Let me know if you need the entire .modeldb file.

    I did a backup to original TATW3.2 and it works fine. I then tried edit EDU and BMDB files first as they are the only two files needed to add a unit. The same error appeared with the "missing attributes field at line 207".

    One of your friends suggested to change the soldiers line from "armored_sergeants" to "gondor_levies". Did not work. It is a good advice for the future though. If I understand correctly this line only refers to animations for the unit to use. It can be any unit's name from BMDB.

    It is good news. The problem could be with my .exe of the game... or some other critical files. I believe reinstalling might help, because I did not do anything differently than for TATW3.1. Thanks for the help.

    I have succesfully added your units to my own personal version of TATW 3.2 so I can say the entries work fine. Unfortunately I cant release my personal submod as it has material which I didnt ask for permission to be used in a public release. If I find some time I can try to add your units only and post a link as soon as it works.
