I looked everywhere for the answer to this question and no one seems to have the answer, if a revolt/rebellion occurs will another enemy country attack the rebellion?

IE French troops are in Prussian controlled territory and Prussia has a revolt...will the French open fire on the revolters if they are in the way?

My experience is that (foreign) enemy troops will only attack if the rebels are successful and have taken control of the region. Likewise, the rebel troops ignore other enemy troops while they attempt to take control from you.

Thankyou for the info, I was somewhat thinking that was the answer.

So far I had a rebellion and the rebel army was across the river and my men dug in at the river.

Six turns later and the rebels will not attack, meanwhile the enemy forces are gathering across the river side by side with the rebels.

I was hoping that the French would destroy the Batvian rebels.

    Too bad.

When playing as Prussia in turn 35 with DarthMod v2.6, one of my allies, Saxony, finished off some Bavarian rebels for me after I'd weakened them, but they had not taken the province, they were just sitting there as they were too weak to attack me again. Saxony had two large stacks so were obviously at a loose end, or maybe they were trying to curry favour with me as I'd just wiped out Mecklenburg, a former minor faction ally of mine. One of the supposed improvements with DarthMod is that your allies support you more, so it could be down to that.
