Unit with faction specific names?
Is it possible to have a single unit that multiple factions are owners but for each faction the unit has a different name? If so how would I accomplish this?

Re: Unit with faction specific names?
I think this is only possible by creating multiple units with the same stats and models, and every unit is only available for one faction.

It's not possible without wasting a unit slot which is already limited to 500.

Re: Unit with faction specific names?
Multiple units can share the same batmodels entry but for different names an individual EDU entry is needed for each.

Oddly, each faction can have individual names for each building type--but this function doesn't exist for units where it would be more useful.

Re: Unit with faction specific names?
Actually it's more useful for buildings imo. All factions do basically have the same buildings, but it sounds odd to have royal barracks in a sultanate. Unit's, however, are mostly either exactly the same for all factions using them (e.g. Seargent Spearmen), or are unique to a faction (e.g. Sipahi). In either case there's no need for different names/descriptions for one unit. Though it would have been useful, I can't deny that.

You can do this for buildings not units unfortunately.
