Hello TATW community,

Are you just in for the fights or gaining as much land as possible ( No Brain, all Brawn), or are you in it to support and create your own story ( Brain and if necessary Brawn)?

My story.
Since I first started playing TATW 2.0 and 2.1, I wanted to make the Grand campaign my own.
In 3.1 I'm playing as the Silvan Elves and have captured all of Mirkwood except Dol Guldur. ( Which I'm sieging). I've also captured Moria, to give it to the Dwarves. (Ruined a full stack on those damned Balrogs

). I liked the idea of the Dwarves regaining Moria, but that would never happen if I didnt capture it for them. I gave my respected ally the chance of regaining what was their birthright

, that's the way I like to think of it anyway. I'm also patrolling Rohan lands since Mordor captured Fangorn ( Weird?) and is harassing Rohan constantly. Also I'm keeping an eye on the Hornburg and Edoras, so I can help if needed. I do all this because I feel it's the responsibility of the Elves to keep allies save if that lies within my power. In the future I'm gonna kick Mordor's ass and march to the Black Gate. ( Wishfull Thinking hehe).

Aah, before I say anything I must acknowledge that 3.0 is a wondrous achievement in modding.

So, here's my "Previously on TATW":

As usual I started first as Rohan. Things went pretty well in the beginning. I started taking the western territories of Isengard and attacked the city itself around turn 35. Got it after my first assault but Thengel died defending it from a magic full banner that appeared after Isengard was captured. I finally drove them out of their own lands for turn 50 and they settled in Tharbad and Hoarwell, where they've stayed the peaceful vassal of Eriador up until now.
Then I turned my attention to Mordor who had been raiding my eastern cities for a while. I took Cair Andros as a staging ground for my attacks on the black land itself and took Osgiliath and Emyn Arned for Gondor but since they had no culture there, they lost them pretty easily. So I decided to take Mordor down from the north getting as far as Durthang, when Sauron was resureccted. He was there himself(?) to take Edoras during its third invasion. I thought I was screwed. They went on raiding for a while taking Aldburg and moving east but I'd been amassing my last resort army for a few turns before they came for Helm's Deep. It was led by a Theoden crazed by the excessive use of the palatir of Orthanc. Seeing my numbers they quickly turned around. And after retaking Edoras and besieging Aldburg I managed to lure the Dark Lord into battle. I thought it was going to be my doom, Sauron and all his silver-chevroned units up against low-mid tier Rohan infantry. Boy was I wrong. My good friends ents managed to reinfoce my and after battle broke out on the main line I sent them straight for Sauron. THEY KICKED HIS SORRY ASS BACK TO MORDOR! I mean they didn't even lose one of their own.
And so Rohan was saved for a while. But a new threat emerged. Harad had taken half of Gondor. So being my good friend that they are, I was determined to give them back what I can and hold of Mordor, but that seemed unnecessary. After a while I saw that Dale was finally done with Rhun and was now skirmishing with Mordor near the Black Gates. So with rekindled hope I'm now trying to deal with the endless hordes of Harad with my friends of Gondor, while Dale does their thing in the east.

Love to hear more from other campaigns or from other people!!
I certainly like the way you are helping Gondor.
Though how did the Ents get to you?

After you get Fangorn, they will ask for an autonomy, and one of its terms is that they will send some troops to aid you once in a while.

Diadochiwelike I play exatly like you with sylvan elves, when I capture all Mirkwood forest and fangorn I manage to help each good faction in their fight.
The Dale with the capture of Escaroght, Araw and Dorwinion, the Hight elves by giving then all my East area (but I keep Imladris

), the dwarves, Gondor and mostly Rohan wich really mismanage his city in my campaign, I had to capture 5 times Edoras for them :O

playing as mordor i trashed gondorian spirit by takin osgiliath and MT, too the city which was their capital to the west of it and promtply called a invasion on dol amroth, i have all 9 nazgul in one stack with some awesome orcsies, and very soon gondors second and last unit producing city will be dust under out boots.

Oslow, Perhaps I could suggest that you begin harassing Mordor? Although you should only do that when Gondor and Dale have reached the Black Gates!

Should make it interesting hehe.
Kings of Arnor, I'm impressed that u managed that. Although that isn't that hard since OoG and Isengard aren't a real challenge when you have such excellent troops and Isengard is pwned by Rohan.
