They look like any normal overpriced PCs to me. I can build one that will perform as good (Or better if I overclock it) for much less. Anyway they are a bit behind in technology, if they claim to be the fastest they should have a pair of 7900GTX or X1900XTX in there![]()

Hey, that Cyberpower Gamer XLC was not a bad deal! We'd be hard pressed to build that Rig for what they are selling it for. I've seen that company before and with a price like $3499.00,they certainly aren't paying 1000+ dollars for that FX-60 processor or 600+ each for those 7800GTXs! That company definately has some buying power....
rayzzz, Is that Corsair RAM really CL5?I didn't know anyone made RAM that ran that slow!!

i dont know much about ram so i really cant answer that question. the ram they have there looks pretty decent though.
laptops are the way forward!!! but they are very votile tho
Ave, OTZ! So its dragster RAM instead of grand prix RAM....that wouldn't be my first choice for gaming though. What do ya think? I'm kinda falling behind on my knowledge of Intel based components and such...

You got to remember that ram is running at DDR2 800 (400 mhz). This is why DDR2 is better than DDR. The insane speed make up for the low timings. Don't worry, when AM2 comes around you'll get use to the high timings![]()

Sorry - should been more clear I guess...I shouldn't assume that everyone knows that DDR2 is twice as fast as DDR RAM - my bad!
Thanks gentlemen.Hasn't Intel been using DDR2 memory for some time now? If so, why hasn't AMD? Does the built in x64 memory controller on the processor have anything to do with it?

AMDs DDR2 chips are coming out sometime soon I beleive. It's a shame that PC technology is advancing so rapidly - not very good for the consumer (IMO)Originally Posted by Hadrian
yeah, its the controller. i think it only works with ddr. when is am2 coming out?
