Beggining of battles

Hi all :original: I've noticed in version 5.0/5.0.3 of IB-FG that in the beginning of battles, there is no cinematic screen to start off battles, neither in regular battles or in historical battles.

Is there any way to correct this? Perhaps I need to reset my camera settings. Is it in the preferences file somewhere?

I'd appreciate any info. :original:

I'm not sure what cinematic screen you are referring to. is it the UI? the list of units plus the maps,etc...
this can be enabled by cahnging this line in preferences.txt (in bi folder)

The one I'm talking about, is for example, at the beginning of the battle of Chalons in regular BI.

Do you know how when you start the battle, there's two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, and then the cinematic starts playing? Well, I don't have that happening when I start the Battle, or any battle for that matter.

I have already changed the UI, but when I start the battle, it just shows the UI (with no black bars on top & bottom), and then the cinematic graphics (the script) happens.

Do you know what I am talking about now? :original:

sorry, am not sure what you're talking about, when I have a chance will load up vanilla and tell you if I know how to return the cinematic

No, I do not mean the FMV's. I mean the beginning of battles, there is no "cinematic" type beginning. With the battles, it has the pre-battle speeches, but usually in vanilla it has two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, and in the centre of the screen the pre-battle plays out (battle speech, cheering, et cetera), but here in the mod, at the beginning of battles, there is none of that. Just starts out the battle with the pre-battle speeches but none of the two black bars at the top of the screen with a "cinematic feel". I'm sorry if I can't describe it clearer

Hopefully somebody knows what I'm talking about

i still have that same problem in the historical battles.... i couldnt find the cause of this problem ..... i got mad and i uninstalled IB-FG.... lol maybe when the new version of IB-FG comes out ill install it again.

now that I think about it, can u even play the historical battles? the DMB and EDU have been changed so much historical battles should be unplayable with IBFD
