Dominus Mod
Dominus presents...the Dominus Mod! The Dominus mod is a mix of Gameplay and Realism that balances out extraordinarily unrealistically strong factions such as Macedon and gives boosts to unrealistically weak factions like Parthia. Factions change attitudes, units change in power, and even the colros changes.
Installation Guide:
1. Installl Rome Total War
2. Install the 1.2 patch
3. Install RTR6 GOLD
4. Move the files attached into the respective folders. The Expanded shared and strat files go to text. descr_strat goes to imperial_capaign. ex_descr_unit goes to data. ex_descr_buildings goes to data.
Full Feature List:
1) Macedonia. Macedonia has officially become a Fortified Caesar faction. It will tend to follow its historically accurate path in building up decent armies yet not becoming monstrously huge. Macedonias Hypasists have been tuned down in power yet increased in size. Macedonia's starting psoition in the south has been horribly weakened. They risk extinction from the Celts of Brennus.
2) The Greek City States. Now it the Greek City State. This part is all King Arthur, whom i never could have done this mod without. The only Greek territory is now Sparta. They no lnoger have a navy but the armies remain strong. From the start, Sparta will find itself in difficult financial straits. Although you have large sums at the start, it will quickly deplete if you do not go to war with Macedonia or take to sea.
3) Parthia. Parthia has become a Balanced Genghis faction to simulate its extreme growth in these times. The Parthian have improved Horse Archers and improved Cataphracts. Infantry also recieves a slight boost. Also, the Parthians have recieved a slightly bigger starting army. Parthia, when it plays its cards right, will grow to become a great power and something to be recokoned with.
4) Romans. The Romans have few changes, other then the fact Latin Veilites and Latin Infantry are now recruitable. Your beginning armies will need to be supplemented by these Sabines and Latins.
5) Mercenaries and Rebels. Mercenaries in some parts have been improved. In order to protect Arabia from bugs like Parthia getting Petra, Arab Mercenaries are now stronger. Slingers may recieve a boost in the next release. As for Rebels, the British Chariots are much easier to fight now. However, they still are a tough foe and not to be taken lightly.
6) The Ptolemic Empire. Ptolemic units have been weakened very slightly to prevent an utter blitzkrieg against Seleucia and to keep them realistic. The Hypastai have been downed a few ponts but increased in size.
7) Colors. I find some RTR colors less-than-perfect. Bactria is now light Grey. The Ptoelmics are now a dark Green. The Greeks become a Aquamarine like color.
8) Recruitment. Rectuiment is now 0 turn. I have seen the AI use this fairly well, churning out armies nicely. It provides a good challenge and many battles. Every inch you gain you will have to earn.
9) City Names. City Names have been changed in many areas to be more historical. For example, Jenuensis is now Genua.
10) Becksim's Gladius Loading Bar. Becksim's wonderful laoding bar in the form of the Gladius has been implemented in full.
11) New Cursor (Pugio) by Kos007. The old blland cursor has been replaced by a gladius cursor.
12) Bigger Roman Forts - by LT1956. The Roman Forts have been made bigger and mnore realistic.
13) Sanky's Land Blocks Mod. This mod creates a very subtle ring of obstacles preventing Parthia and Bactria from expanding North. The Only choice is south. Also, the Carthigians and Ptolemics no lnoger count as neighbors due to an African land block.
14) The Gauls. The Gauls have recieved a large starting army aroudn Thessalonica led by a Man named Brennus. Can you advance into Macedonia and maintain another Kingdom that far away?
15) Spartacus Script. In 73 BC a huge Revolt will trigger and a huge expirienced rebel army will appear outside Capua. Can you stop Spartacus form sacking Roma?
16) Aor. I have added a Nubian Mercenary for recruitment in Egypt. Also they are available as Mercenaries in that region pool.
17) Rpahia. Cyrus the Younger, a historical battle maker, has made a Raphia HB. It is included here.
Supporters and Helpers:
1) Dominus - Obvious Reasons
2) King Arthur - Wrote the Spartacus script and modded the Spartans.
3) Alexandros 3 - Made bountiful suggestions and helped me develop quite a few ideas.
4) Becksim- Gladius Loading Bar
5) Kos007 - Pugio Cursor
6)Sanky - Landblock Mod
7) Cyrus the Younger - Raphia BAttle
I am always open to suggestions for the mod. Enjoy.

Re: Dominus Mod
Anyway: Update. There is a new 1.1 Optional Update to the mod. This part is not save game compatible. It makes the starting Germanic faction stronger and may result in pwoerful warban raids across the Rhine. Germanic aggressiveness tends to go up.
To Install:
1. Install Dominus Mod as instructed
2. Unzip DM1.1
3. Move descr_strat to its appropriate spot
4. Bang, you have it installed
