Trying to play online using the SPQR 8.0 mod

I used the fix in this topic: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...iplayer&page=2

and we can at least join the same game, but whenever the game actually launches, I get a crash-to-desktop. Any solutions? When my friend hosts, it doesn't crash for him, but it crashes for me. When I host, we both crash.

no idea i'm afraid. That was made for spqr 7.0 if i recall correctly (hell, looking at the date on the thread, it could be an earlier version) . Could well be an issue as its now 8.0.

If i remember correctly, the important things were to make sure that no file editing had occurred in anyway. Not even to change the number of ranks of equites from 6 to 5 say.

have a look at this thread i believe the most up-to-date instructions are on there. However that section wasn't written by me so i can't say whats going on if it doesn't work.

Oh well. At least the campaign is great.
