Default Importing units (and possibly buildings) from Rome Total War? Possibly or not?

I'm a real noob in modding, as many of you have noticed.
However, I don't need help this time, when it comes to importing units from Rome Total War into Medieval Total War. If it's possible, then I'll figure out how to do it correctly on my own, I think. And if not, then not.
    So, is it possible?
I'd love to add some units from Barbarian Invasion Eastern Roman Empire to the Byzantines in Medeival Total War... like those repeating balistae. And possibly those camel units, if they ever get to recapture the Mid East (don't worry, I know how to work with hidden resources).
And possibly some Gallowglass mercs too...

And I meant only unit models, animations and pictures, not the units themselves, of course.
I'm also thinking of some Nomad buildings for the Mongols. Btw, can portraits be imported too?

Yes it's possible you would have to convert the .cas model into .mesh. Read these tutorials.

    Portraits can be imported too.

    Thanks
I was asking, because I was thinking about making a mod out of scratch for Kingdoms, that plays on the same map as Vanilla Grand Campaign, and adds NO new province, and NO new faction. Only some minor changes, maybe a few new units (maybe), new portraits, etc.
I'm really looking forward for it

One thing about portraits though... the sizes differ... So apparently, I should resize them en masse when I want to import them into the game, right?

Got it. Will do it once I start serious modding business.
