How to get more money?

Hi All,

Ive been messing around with RTW - just adding money and fighting - nothing really serious. Is there a way to be able to give myself infinite money or at least get more than 40k, then having to quit the game and go back in?

get the 1.5 \1.6 patch....

If you have got patch 1.3 or any after im sure that you can use the cheat as many times as you want.

If you don't want to use the cheat take over greece and macedon that normally gives you alot of money.

Go in your rome total war directory data/world/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt go down to the faction you want change the amount of denarii to 9999999999 any more then 10 will put you into debt.

^ yeah but be warned that if you do that it could mess your game up, then you'll have to reinstall the game, because when i went into those files, and just tried to put 50,000 in it got screwed up, and i coulden't play in imperial campiagn game whenever i tried to choose a faction to play with it took me back the the main menu.

Well them maybe it was the way you modded the file that caused the game to screw up. What exactly did you do?

You sure? Becaue that shouldnt happen. I notice before you said 50,000, and that has commas. Did you have commas when you typed it in? That could be the problem.

He said he didnt remeber and it was old. He probably reinstalled it since he messed it up or whatever. Another, what does a farm actually do besides give you money?

Edit: Because I neved used farms much.

Nothng apart from a trade increse of income. But that's money and that's all it is.

Farms also give you population growth, along with the money. Some negative effects of farms: invading armies have more farmms to devestate as you keep upgrading your farms. One good reason to really think about what you are building, because trust me, the devestation can really devestate your entire economy.
